2015 Kia K900 Release Date
We have been dedicating a large portion of our time to informing you about vehicles in the Kia sedan lineup, such as the 2014 Kia Optima. All of the vehicles that we’ve been talking about have been on the market for a few years now, but a while back we caught wind that a brand new sedan would be joining the U.S. Kia lineup. Well, that rumor has been confirmed as the 2015 Kia K900 was just unveiled today at the 2013 LA Auto Show.
As we have told you, what separates Kia sedans from other manufacturers is that each of them offers something completely different. That fact will remain true when the new rear-drive K900 hits the market next year. While the exact 2015 Kia K900 release date has not been announced yet, the manufacturer expects the newest member to the Kia family to be made available during the first quarter of 2014.
Perhaps the most anticipated feature of the new Kia K900 is found under the hood. As Kia’s flagship sedan, the K900 will be stocked with nothing less than the best—the first V8 engine to ever be offered in a Kia sedan. The engine will produce a commanding output of 420 horsepower. Those who can do without all the power, but still want to reap the benefits of the luxurious interior can opt for the smaller 3.8-liter V6 engine, which will crank out a more than adequate 311 horsepower.
The transmission will also be top of the line to increase the K900’s performance and efficiency. Both the V6 and V8 engine will be paired with a highly-efficient and smooth-shifting eight-speed transmission. How each of those cogs engage and spin will be determined by the driving mode in place. With normal, eco and sport modes, the shifting works differently to maximize efficiency and adjust steering sensitivity.
Whenever a manufacturer introduces a new flagship sedan, you can expect the interior features to be heavily stocked. The VIP package of the K900 will even go as far to include reclining, heated and cooled outboard rear seats. The sedan will also feature the largest instrument panel ever offered in a Kia vehicle. The full-color LCD screen changes themes depending on the driving mode, and at 12.3-inches, it ensures that you won’t have any trouble reading anything.
We will have more information on all of the unique features of the 2015 Kia K900 as it becomes available. Be sure to check back on our blog in the future so that you can know everything about the new flagship sedan before it hits our inventory next year.
